    As the visionary leader of Own U, Inc., Regina Gamble-Scott, FNP, is dedicated to developing innovative solutions to bridge the gap in health education and access within underprivileged communities. A board-certified nurse practitioner, Regina brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep passion for equitable healthcare to her role.

    Driven by a commitment to serving those most in need, Regina founded Own U, Inc. as a beacon of light and hope for low-income communities lacking adequate healthcare resources. Through education, outreach, and holistic wellness initiatives, she strives to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to take control of their health.

    With a steadfast belief in the power of community-driven change, Regina continues to lead Own U, Inc. in transforming lives by addressing disparities in healthcare, one step at a time.


  • Rachelle Mercado is an accomplished Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. From 2007 to 2020, she served at Orlando Internal Medicine, where she excelled in evaluating and diagnosing patients with urgent care needs, performing comprehensive assessments, and managing transitions of care. Rachelle is adept at ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to ensure accurate diagnoses and prescribes medications to manage both acute and chronic conditions effectively.

    In her role as an independent provider, Rachelle coordinated care with specialty providers, ensuring the highest level of patient care. She is passionate about patient education, empowering individuals to maintain and optimize their health while navigating their disease processes.

    Before her tenure at Orlando Internal Medicine, Rachelle worked as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular ICU at Orlando Regional Medical Center from 1998 to 2007. There, she managed the care of post-open heart surgical patients, demonstrated autonomy in practice, and utilized nursing protocols to implement interventions for complex cases.

    Rachelle holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis. She is recognized for her clinical expertise and leadership qualities, holding certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

    With a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a wealth of experience in both clinical and sales roles, Rachelle continues to make significant contributions to the healthcare field as an APRN and FNP-C.

    As the Administrator of Own U, Inc., Teresa Lamar, MBA, plays a vital role in executing the organization’s vision and ensuring its operations run seamlessly. With a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing, she brings a strategic mindset and a creative touch to the team.

    Teresa has a passion for organization and innovation, using her expertise to curate impactful events and bring ideas to life. Whether managing logistics, coordinating initiatives, or crafting meaningful experiences, she thrives on turning vision into reality.

    Her dedication to structure and creativity helps Own U, Inc. grow and expand its reach, making a lasting impact in the communities it serves.


  • Cheryl Keeley is a highly accomplished Registered Nurse with over 24 years of extensive clinical experience, currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager. Her career is firmly grounded in the fields of oncology and nephrology, reflecting her unwavering commitment to providing compassionate and expert care to both adult and pediatric patients. Cheryl embodies the philosophy of nursing as more than just a profession; she views it as a calling that fuels her advocacy for patients and compels her to lead with empathy and a clear sense of purpose.

    Cheryl's clinical expertise is complemented by her leadership skills, which she employs to inspire her colleagues and improve patient care standards within her organization. Her ability to build strong relationships with both her team and her patients speaks to her dedication to fostering a supportive and healing environment.

    Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing to gain licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Cheryl aspires to deepen her clinical knowledge and skills, enabling her to take on greater responsibilities in her practice and to advocate more effectively for her patients. She remains steadfast in her mission to promote health equity, focusing on dismantling disparities in healthcare and fostering better outcomes for underserved and marginalized communities.
